我们思考观察一下:要是赌气了,你想要干啥?要是迷失了,你想要干啥?顺应赌气与迷失最终的目的是什么呢?

比如说对人动一个恶念,顺着这个恶念观察一下会产生什么样的作为与结果——一旦清晰,相信大家就不会动恶念了。不敢动恶念,并不是要怕啥,主要是明确了恶念会带来恶的言说、恶的作为。“ 不敢 ”,就是对自身作为最大的尊重与负责。


大家可以去尝试,自己动了一个恶念——是习惯性、秉性中带来的一个恶念,如果顺其发展必定会产生恶果;要是警觉它,那马上就不推动它了。

恶念一旦出现,一定忏悔调整,不再令其相续——在这点上一定不留余地!要是不调整,就是“敢”。你“敢”是啥结果呢?那自己要想好。认识因果很重要,恶念是因,是种子,必定会产生恶果。如果没有审视清晰,很多果报现前之时,很多人其实是受不了的,是不愿承担的。恶念一推动就受不了,不能忍受其结果,那个“不敢”,就是结果让你不敢。清晰它的结果了,实际就是长久地看问题了,从结果上看了。我们要是在这个恶意、恶念、恶说、恶行上“不敢”了,人就会得自在。

“不动恶念”是个宝藏,它会源源不断地给我们带来轻安与喜悦,要获得这个利益,必须得纯正。我们日常生活中经常会出现指责、对抗、诋毁,同时也可能掺杂着一些感恩、支持、辅佐等等,我们可以去体验这个杂苦。如果能在这个点上纯正起来,我们的内心世界就能明朗安乐,从而远离杂苦。

Dare not to produce


even a single evil thought

Let's think about it. What would you do if you get agitated and upset?  What is the final result of anger and loss?

For example, if we had a bad intention towards someone and if we would follow that negative thought, what actions and effects would result? Perhaps we could hold back from that negative thought. To dare not to produce such negative thoughts does not mean that we should be afraid, but rather that we can be clear that such thoughts can bring negative words and actions. “To dare not to” is the greatest way to respect and take responsibility for ourselves.


Try to observe how our thoughts arise and where they come from: our habits, disposition and our own patterns. Consider what consequences may lead from these thoughts. If we are alert to where and how our thoughts arise and how they develop, then we can prevent any negative following actions.

When a negative thought arises, acknowledge it and adjust our thought to prevent further actions developing. There can be no excuse. If we don’t notice and adjust, it can be said we are ‘daring’ not to take responsibility and should think clearly what the effect will result in. It is important to recognise the cause and effect of our thoughts and actions.  The arising thought is the cause and seed which inevitably produces an effect (negative or positive). If there is no clear examination, many people cannot bear the effect of their subsequent actions when they appear. What makes us take responsibility is indeed the understanding of what the consequential action would bring.  Being clear about the effect is actually bringing our thoughts into perspective and our actions make us at ease.

Daring to be brave enough to take responsibility for our thoughts is a treasure which constantly brings peace and happiness. To obtain this benefit we must practice Dharma in our daily lives. We experience a mixture of suffering: confrontation, accusations and degeneration while being accompanied with the feelings of gratitude and being of support and benefit to others. In our lives we experience a whole range of suffering and by practicing Dharma our inner world becomes clear and happy and free from all suffering.

While following our Master Cifa and learning Buddhism from him, very often I cannot help being moved by his targeted instructions and benefit a lot from them. Now, with a sincerely offering heart for you my fellow practitioners, I’d like to try as much as I can to share his instructions with all of you that I have recorded and sorted out. These series of records covered a number of problems from our daily life. Each problem is reflected from a specific perspective. I hope that we can learn by analog to observe and enlighten our whole life, so as, according to dharma, to arouse us to start using the inherent pure Buddha-nature as our wonderful arising condition, and make our life more beautiful, richer and more colorful.
